He served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the Islamic University, as well as at the Sahaba College and Al-Ribat College in Gaza. He then served as head of the Department of Islamic Sharia at the Islamic University in Gaza from 2012 to 2013. He previously served as coordinator of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the university’s southern branch from 2007 to 2009 and from 2013 to 2016, and as vice dean of the Islamic University’s southern branch from 2016 to 2017, and served as Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the University from 2021 until his martyrdom in 2023.
He was martyred on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, during the Zionist bombardment of Gaza, along with the preacher Sheikh Wael Zard and their families.
