Dr. Seddiq Nassar was a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in business administration and finance, with a professional and academic career spanning more than two decades. Throughout his journey, he combined academic teaching, scientific research, and administrative leadership at both local and international levels. He served as the Head of the Business Administration Department at The Islamic University of Gaza since 2021, in addition to his role as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the same university since 2019, contributing significantly to the development of academic programs and the enhancement of the educational and research environment. He was also a PhD candidate at Marmara University, reflecting his continuous dedication to academic and professional advancement.
Dr. Nassar’s international experience included working as an interpreter and researcher with several international organizations in Türkiye, including International Organization for Migration (IOM) and SESRIC, where he contributed to research, communication, and institutional support initiatives. He also worked as an interpreter for SGDD-ASAM in Bursa, gaining extensive experience in multicultural and international work environments.
He began his academic career at The Islamic University of Gaza as an instructor in 1999, dedicating many years to teaching, mentoring, and serving the academic community. Over the years, he became widely recognized for his commitment to education, research, and community service, as well as for his efforts in developing students’ and researchers’ capabilities.
Dr. Seddiq Nassar was martyred following an Israeli airstrike targeting the city of Deir al-Balah. He leaves behind a profound academic and humanitarian legacy that will continue to inspire his students, colleagues, and all who knew him for his dedication, integrity, and service to knowledge and society.
